I found a little bump on the base of RJ's head....
Would you take him to the doc. today to have it checked or should I wait until his well visit on July 3rd. It kinda feels like a cyst or a swollen gland kinda thing.

I would call the doctor's office. It doesn't sound like it is bothering him so I would explain that but tell them that it's something you just noticed. They'll tell you whether or not you should come in. I'm sure it's nothing.

I would keep an eye on it for a couple of days. If you notice any changes, I would then call the PEDs. If not, I personally would wait till my well visit. THanks!

It sounds like a lymph node. DS has the same thing.
ETA: I would call the ped. Best to have it checked out.

Silly question but I'm not sure how big it is...is it red? could it be a mosquito bite? My kids got bit pretty badly & very quickly.

I had found a lump on DD's back of her head on her hairline, right side I then found the same lump same area on the left side.
Her well visit was a week away and she was showing absoultely no signs of distress so i waited and it turned out to be normal lymphnodes, as per the ped.
Its totally your decision, i chose to wait and it turned out fine.

Sounds like a lymph node-- my doc said they are totally normal, and nothing to worry about. Doc mentioned it to me before I even felt anything, and sure enough b/t visits-- I found one on the back of Sasha's head.
I would probably call the Ped to be sure-- but it's up to you.
