I gave notice yesterday...
...without a job to fall back on.
Want to know why-here are just a few of the comments...
(Insert name of girl in my office)...hello, is your IQ above 40?
Dum dum, moron...what are you doing over there? Braindead or something?
What's with you today? Do you have your f**** period or something?

Having them ask me my religion and telling them that I was catholic-but my part of my family was Jewish. Getting a reply that I was such a good buyer bc it is in my blood and that is why I am "jewing them out"... (My reply was no-I learned from a great buyer and that's why I am good at negotiiating)...
Asking VP a question and having him pretend he is a retarded person, voice and body actions and replying-"Hello, look at me, I am a retard, I don't know what I am doing. I need a handicap pass for my car..."
 Yes, this is my daily day.
In addition to the above, I was told I have to learn to multitask when I asked for a little bit of help over here...I am working an 8 hour day, but I have replaced a buyer, AR, a logistics person and my assistant is on vacation... I said sure, but that doesn't account for the rest of the hours I should have to do all the work? They fired all of these people and I absorbed all of the work. Keep in mind that they changed my hours after a week there to a longer day and they gave me $5000 less than I was told in teh interview. ANd I received no increase when I took over the other position(s).
I have come to realize that the more you do to try and get your job done-the more work you get. I was doing great, complimented everyday and the more I did, the more they gave me... fired the other people, gave me all that too and now I am going to be jobless in a few weeks.

Oh my I am so sorry you had to endure that every day. Sounds like you work with a bunch of 1st graders.

Im so sorry that was happening at work!!! But Im so glad you are moving on and finding a saner and more productive environment!
Everything happens for a reason, take this as a learing experience and im sure something great will come along!

Still apply for unemployment. They may try to fight it but based on the circumstances, I can't imagine the Department of Labor would find an acceptable place to work.
I'm sorry you had to be in that situation but you did the right thing. Just getting up in the morning will be easier now.
