Did I ever tell you that I hate people?

I get angry...
- when people complain about how much $$ they spend on co pays for IF tx when I was out of pocket and still never had a baby
- when people complain that they "accidentally" got pregnant and I can't
- when people rave about how life means nothing without children
- when people assume that we don't have children because we are "selfish"
- when people say to me, "well, just adopt"...like its just that easy
No drama, just needed somewhere to vent...

I'm sorry you're having such a bad day...I know there isn't anything to say to make it any better. People always have been and always will be insensitive and clueless.

I don't understand why people say such things. My husband and I are proud to be childless parents. We aren't selfish by any means, we just have very active work schedules that prevent us from properly raising kids. I never had any interest in being a mom and I am in my mid 30s and we never wanted kids. I have no maternial instincts and can't understand why people just can't accept that the world doesn't always have to follow the cookie cutter order of "meet--> marry--> buy house ---> have babies".
Ugh!

My personal motto is People are Stupid.
I used to fume when people stupidly and nosily asked 'so when are you having kids?'. Now i'm just used to it and I know people are stupid and are usually just trying to make conversation, not realizing how stupid and intrusive their question is.

I hear you. I feel very angry whenever I see a pregnant teenager or a teen mom with kids. Not that I would have been able to get pregnant as a teenager, but looking back, I think that have kids first, then go to school and build a career may have been the way to go.
Then, there are days when I overhear conversations on the LIRR between parents about the sports teams, and the coach, and the school district, and the college applications and the competitiveness and bitchiness of it all and I'm not remotely sad about "missing out."
Wish I could just accept my life for what it is.

I hear you. I haven't had nearly the journey that you have yet, but I get very frustrated when I hear about "accidental" pregnancies. I had a parent at school tell me about her abortion exactly 1 year after my m/c. So frustrating!!!

But you are a mommy you have your puppy  Everyone always tells me, Oh when are you going to give us babies with 2 legs and not 4 (I have two small dogs). OH boy...when the time is right I say
