I got a charlie horse on the parkway today...
MAN that was a b#$%!!!
I have no idea why - I wasn't even running around in heels today....
How do you get rid of it quickly?

it does at first - whether stretching or rubbing - it makes it hurt more at first but then after a minute or two you get relief - it is awful.

Seriously though, if you lean flat footed with your hands on the wall it will help with charlie horses! It stretches out the calf. When I was preggo I had many a cramp that needed stretching out!

If you pinch the skin under your nose HARD (those 2 ridges, KWIM?) it's a pressure point and releases the muscle. I used to get them in the middle of the night when I was pregnant and DH would pinch it for me.

Those are the worst. I got them a lot when I was pregnant during the night and would sometimes cry they were so bad. I get one every now and then. They say to stand and walk on the cold floor.

I used to get them at 3AM when I was pregnant..the WORST pain ever.
I'd jump up out of a sound sleep. What worked for me was rub it or try to walk it out..Stretching also helped.
I heard to eat bananas also, but, I eat a banana pretty much every AM so, that really didn't help.
