i got my first tattoo!
i picked it out a couple years ago and had the print out sitting at home...I finally got it last week. yay! it's on my lower back.

i was really nervous (sweaty palms, fear of needles type nervous) for the 24 hrs before I decided to go. It was definitely bearable! Some parts hurt more than others. The artist told me it was the longer strokes that were bothering me more and the lower portion seemed to bother me more too (guess i had more nerves there). I won't say it didn't hurt me at all, but like I said it was totally doable! After a certain point, it kind of numbs and doesn't bother you as much too.
Are you thinking of getting one?

My wife has one and is talking about getting a second one. I was thinking about one but it would have to be some sort of tribute to my dad. I absolutely hate needles. I hear many mixed things. I don't think it would hurt too bad on my arm but it would have to be up high so it would be covered up at work. Who knows..

DH & I have tattoos. He has both shoulders done, and 2 armbands. He said that the only time it hurt was when she was tattooing under the armpit. The only one of mine that hurt was the one that went up over the top of my shoulder, other wise it feels like you are scratching a sunburn (well to me anyway)
I have total needle anxiety, but it does not look like a needle once the gun is assembled.
