I guess he is not sleeping through the night anymore

DS is 3 months old. About 2 weeks ago, he started sleeping through the night and before that, he was getting up once during the night for a bottle. This past week, he has been up at least two times during the night. We increased his formula to 8 ounces and he is draining the bottle without a problem. We also give him formula with rice in the bottle before he goes to sleep. Any suggestions to get him to sleep a little better? He was actually doing good and he is now starting to regress....Just in time for me to go back to work on Monday Chat Icon

Is there a possibility that he is teething?

DD was like that when she was teething

Same here, teething and i noticed when she had a growth spurt she would wake more, within a week or so at that age she went right back to her normal routine.

Honestly, I don't think there is much you can do. I found that DS's sleep got worse after I returned to work and when he hit about 4 months. It seems to be getting better again, but it's off and on. There are so many variables on what could be affecting it -- he doesn't take as much from the bottle, so he's taking more from the breast at night, he had a little cold, he had his four month shots, we stopped swaddling him. There's been so much going on and I think all those factors have affected his sleep. I just look at it as something I have to deal with now, but it won't last forever and he does seem to be getting back to his old sleep schedule. Good luck!

LOL considering my two year old still wakes up at night sometimes, I don't find a two month old getting up to be a surprise!
