I guess I should feel lucky, but instead I'm feeling mopey.
Ava's been up all night for the past two nights screaming her head off. I'm pretty sure it's teething, but I don't really know because she's never done this before. I've gotten a solid 12 hours a night from her since she's just a few weeks old, and I just don't think I can survive another night of this crying. I'm exhausted and still have to go to work in the morning. How do you mommies do it if you have a baby that's up all night nad you work int he morning? THis is the worst possible timing, too. this week and next week are two of my most crucial weeks out of the whole school year. And like I said, I should feel lucky that she's just doing this now and hasn'tbeen all along, but instead I'm mopey adn cranky and tired and anxious and ready to cry.

ugh I feel your pain...this happened to me last night and a couple of nights last week. I know it is from teething but I feel guilty giving him tylenol everynight. Well last night I caved at 9:00 because he wasn't settling down....well guess what 4-6 hours later at 3:00 am he was screaming.
He did not want water, milk, comfort...I put on Sesame Street in my room he watched and still wasn't sleeping. I gave up we put him in the crib and he screamed his head off for about 30 minutes and finally fell asleep.
The alarm goes off at 7:00 and myself and my husband are zombies but my little peanut had the widest smile and says "wow" as soon as we open the door.
I will be wishing you and myself luck tonight!!!!

Look at the bright side, at least it is peaceful at work! I've had nights like that and envied my husband for being able to leave in the morning!!

Re: I guess I should feel lucky, but instead I'm feeling mopey.
I go back to work in January and DS is still waking every 3 hours at night.Being that I am home I am able to sleep in a little later rather than having to get up and get ready for work..... I dont nap and I am always on the go...running errands, cleaning the house, doing laundry, cooking dinner. BUT...for the past 2 weeks I have been getting up with the baby at 6:00 a.m and have been getting ready..so I can get used to it for when I go back to work..and I am exhausted by the time 5:00 comes......I dont have any advice for you...but I can give you some and hope that Ava starts sleeping through the night soon!

Caffiene for the days you need it. Lots of it. I mean LOTS, and in various forms. Other than that I have nothing but hugs because I know it is really hard. I feel for you - I Know as a teacher you can't just hide behind a desk until the end of the day...good luck!!
