I guess IUI is in our near future

If AF comes on the 24th, I feel she is on her way, we are moving on to an IUI regimen. I am nervous and also sad. I would have never imagined that we would have to go through all of this to conceive. I know that some of you ladies are further along in the process, and it just feels nice to know that there are people out there who truly KNOW what I am going through. Just wanted to let it out. Thanks for listening. Chat Icon

I was just thinking the exact same thing. It's been over a year, and we have yet to get an explanation as to why it's taken so long. Today was my enodmetrial biopsy and the last test pretty much that was required. If these results come back normal, then we pretty much are at the point of an IUI. I keep thinking to myself "Is this really me?" and "How did I get here?". Last October I remember thinking to myself, "Wow, I give girls who TTC for so long so much credit because I don't think I could ever go through it". Well here I am, full circle and no answers.

I feel your pain, and I know it's easier said than done, but the only thing I think we can do is have faith that things are going to happen one way or another, when they are meant to. I've always hated hearing "It wasn't meant to be", but honestly, I don't know any other way to justify why any of us have to go through so much. I just tell myself that one thing is for sure - I will appreciate my miracle more than many other women out there, because I will always remember just how badly I wanted it, and how no matter what, I never gave up and was ready and willing to do anything it took for my baby. I think everyone woman on this board will agree with that much for sure. Chat Icon

This process is something that we cannot apprecitate now, but when we hear the baby's first cry we will know that this was all worth it. Your words will stick with me and I will keep positive and keep faith, as should you.

I hope you get some explanation and clarity. The unknown can be so scary, but if you get answers, and if they are not the ones you want to hear, at least you will have something to go on. I think that is sometimes better than doing things blindly. Chat Icon

Second I know how you feel. The first time the RE told us the probability of us conceiving on our own was basically zilch I cried like a baby. I don't remember ever crying so hard in my life. We weren't even given any hope with IUI...we had to go straight to IVF. I didn't understand why us?? I asked God so many times why us??? why do we have to struggle when other people don't even want babies and get pregnant anyway. Its not fair...but then I picked myself up and moved on and thankfully we got pregnant on our first IVF and now the process is just a memory. The cycles only last a month...the love you have for your child will last a lifetime.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

its really hard to accept at first that you wont conceive the "normal" way. it takes time to accept that life isnt going exactly the way we planned. acceptance is key, and it takes time.
but once you accept it and get really involved in the treatment and protocol, you realize its not such a big deal and in the end it doesnt matter HOW you get pregnant, all that will matter is holding that little bundle of joy in your arms. taking the long road there just guarantees that when it happens, you will appreciate it all that much more!!
