I hate Consumers in Commack

I am in the process of getting an estimate from my contractor but he needs to see cabinet placement first. I have been using the store he recommended but I am also looking at other places. That being said I went to Consumers today (took off work) because they told me they do not do design on the weekend. When I got there the man at the first desk said hold on let me get you someone. Finally a salesman comes and say sorry we cannot help you the computers are down so come back another day. I than explain that I took a day off from work because you said you do not do design on the weekend. He than goes on to say they would do it on weekends since I had a design and measurements already done. I know their computers are down but the way they guy spoke to me was not how you treat a customer.

The best way to get attention at consumers is to call in advance and make an appointment.

They are very busy and they don't have a lot of design reps available. Just walking in on the weekend is more or less useless. And I would have considered today a "weekend" day since it was a holiday with a lot of people off.

Of course that doesn't help the computer situation.

I was in this Sat and they said no appointment is necessary for today even though it was a holiday plus I was the only customer there. I also called them last weekend to make an appointment and they said it was not necessary.

Wow I'm surprised. We used the Commack Consumers and had a great experience with them, I highly recommend them. But I agree with above post. Sometimes it's best to make an appointment b/c this way you have a specific time allotted to you. There was several times where we would wait a long time just to deal with one particular person. And they definitely do design on the weekend because we only went in on weekends.
