I hate grocery shopping -- I don't know what to make for dinner
I must confess I really don't know how to cook--I would love to learn or to try new recipes, but to make matters worse DH is a very very picky eater. He only eats Pasta, Chicken cutlets, Sausage & peppers. He prefers burgers and pork chops to be on the BBQ--dislikes them any other way---he's so darn picky!
Help Any quick, easy recipes you would like to share.
Thank you for letting me vent a little.

my DH is the SAME way. It's so hard to cook for us. He hates all vegetables (except fried cauliflower). No mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus, carrots, corn, etc. NOTHING.
I try to throw veggies in pasta sauce, he picks them out, Lipton onion soup mix in the meatloaf - picks out the onions. Grrrr.
For dinner I'll make:
meatloaf & mashed potatoes chicken franchese & baked potato chicken parm & spaghetti baked ziti w/chicken pork chops & mac n cheese baked chicken & roasted red potatoes roasted chicken & roasted red potatoes tenderloin and egg noodles (fatty ham) ham & rice steak & french fries grilled cheese & soup french toast Campbells cheesy chicken & rice casserole (minus the veg) Pulled pork (pork loin and BBQ sauce in the slow cooker)

What about stir-fry? That's easy to make and good for picky eaters because you can do it in two pans and have different ingredients (that's what DH and I do).

Re: I hate grocery shopping -- I don't know what to make for dinner
I look in cookbooks and online and make what I think DH will like (well I usually ask first!) then buy based on that. We TRY to make 2 new recipes a week.
My DH is picky about veggies too but I just buy whatever boxed ones (frozen) that look good to me - and encourage him to try. He usually will but if he doesn't want them, well, whatever!

Take thin chicken cutlets, egg and seasoned bread crumb them, add some mozarella cheese and maybe some frozen asparagus, roll add a little olive oil on top, bake. Take burgers, cook 3/4 waty thru, add brown gravy and cook thru. salisbury steak. Crockpot sausage and peppers. Poke holes in sausages, boil 15 minutes, add to crockpot, add peppers, onions, sauce to cover. Crockpot all day . I will try to think of other ones. HTH

Gte the boboli crusts and freeze them. They thaw quickly. Then add sauce and mozz cheese and you have pizza night.
Go to trader joes and get their frozen veggies, shrimp and rice and you can have a quick stir fry.

Katie Couric's Lemon Chicken
- coat raw chicken cutlets in flour - pour 2tbls olive oil into pan and cook chicken until slightly browned on both sides and remove, medium heat - add in 1 can chicken broth, a few spoonfuls of flour and half cup lemon (I also like to add chopped garlic) - stir and let sit until it boils, then wait another minute or two for it to thicken - put chicken back in, turn stove down a bit and let it marinate.
That's it!
I serve it with a side of Pasta (those 99c Lipton Pasta packages) and/or a veggie.
Roasting a chicken sounds VERY difficult, but it is the easiest thing to do in a kitchen ever. You will need a large oven safe dish and a roasting rack. You can usually get one for $10-20. Sometimes you can get the pan and rack together. Here is an old thread that has a GREAT recipe in it. My simple recipe is in there too.
Angnick posted an awesome a la Vodka recipe here. I would just cut the recipe in half because it made a LOT.
