I hate my doctor's office Part 5
They cancelled my 16 week AFP appointment and then gave me an inconvenient time slot. When I said I can make it to the time slot but have to leave within half an hour, they said they cannot guarantee. They also won't allow me to go to a another lab and give blood there.
All they have to do is draw my freakin blood! Nothing else!!!!
I dont need to talk to anyone or do anything else. Grrrrrrr.
I already know I am switching practices. The last thing I wanted from this practice was my AFP test. Even that is just extremely painful.
End vent.

I am sorry you are having so many issues.
I know for me, the insurance company determines where I can go for my bloodwork, not the Drs office. Did they tell you that it was they who chose the lab or is it the insurance co that is dictating it to them?

I use the same office as you and they sent me to a lab of the bloodwork based on my insurance also.
Edited to add...I am so sorry!

I mention this b/c when I was PG with G I worked in NYC. I wanted to go to a lab around the block from where I worked but they said no. When I asked why they told me that the insurance companies have arrangements with certain labs and if I went to one "out of network" that I would have to pay for it myself. Also the lab schedule is atrocious. I have had issues with the labs through both PGs. If you have a 6 am appointment, it is entirely possible to sit there until 9am before you are even seen. It is horrible!
