i hate people when im THIS pregnant

ya know,
ive walked around, with a dumb smile on my face this entire pregnancy..and most of you know, i was in a bad car accident, i was soooo sick with some crazy food poisoning..its been a wild ride..
i swear though, i have NEVER been so obviously aggravated with anyone in my life as i was yesterday with this moron who was at my dh's stepmothers nieces house...
first of all, the fact that we had to go there, ridiculous..its not even HIS family..hes never acknowledged his stepmother in his life before, except in the last few years..thats fine, i like her i really do..shes considered my mother in law..
still though, her family is NOT my family, NOT his family, and their weak attempts at making us feel like were "a part of things" is like almost annoying..

so yea, when i walk into your house 9 months OBVIOUSLY PREGNANT..i dont need 30 people staring at me like im a blob, ive gained 23 lbs guys like seriously, half of you are bigger than i am 9 months pregnant and whats your excuse?!?!?
And if another person feels like its ok for them to touch me, to see if ive dropped yet..like hello...ive dropped, wanna touch my vagina to check it out for me?!?!!?
Then id like to know, what kind of AZZHOLE sits and starts a conversation about how shed NEVER get remarried, (knowing full well my 10 year old from my first marriage is sitting right next to her) and how women who do, are stupid to start over, because its just the same results, and how if her and her husband ever split up shed just "date around" (*****) and enjoy life..

which brought her to talking about how ANY WOMAN crazy enough to "start over AND have kids"...(which, uh hello, thats what we're doing, this is my dh's first and we plan to have more)
is ruining their lives, and changing life as they know it...they will never be able to enjoy each other with these screaming babies now, and if you have an older kid, who is good, why risk it? According to her, people are too broke now, the world is too crazy now, and she would NEVER be selfish enough to have children now in a world like this anymore..shes very blessed with her 3 kids, and shes just incredible
i sat there almost with my mouth open, and im such a loud mouth b*tch most of the time, i cant believe i didnt lose it..
i didnt wanna embarrass my dh, but i did have to throw something in there, so all i said was "wow, and i kinda felt like I was the blessed one" to which she just snarled something under her breath...
like hello, ive met you once, i didnt like you the first time, so lets just be polite and ignore one another, you dont have to intentionally make me uncomfortable the entire day...

sorry for the vent, i can guarantee you, id feel this way 9 months pregnant or not :)

I'm sorry you had to go through that.... we're getting the exact same thing. This is my second husband, I have a 6 year old daughter from my 1st marriage, DH has 2 kids (20 & 22) from his first. DH is 44 and I am 32. We decided to have a baby. Then, the wrold began to judge. I actually have been getting - How fair are you being to your DH to make him start all over with a child??!! UM HELLO??? WHAT BUSINESS IS IT OF YOURS??? I have learned to let this crap roll off my back.

That is insane. People have no filter when it comes to talking to a pregnant person, I swear! While I did love seeing all my family members this year, I was annoyed and cranky for the two days too. After two days of cooking, cleaning, and entertaining, I had it! All i wanted to do was lay on my couch and be left alone! I had to bite my tongue from being snotty to everyone who said anything slightly annoying, even my own mother, so i know how you feel. And if one more person on Christmas Eve made a comment about my huge azz, I would have completely lost it!

I have to say I started reading this post saying well.. its ok to be excited for someone and rub the pregnant bell.. And ask questions etc... BUT THEN!!!! I could not believe what I was reading!!!!! WHAT a mean mean mean girl.. How could someone be so mean!!!! I am curious to what your Dh thought about that ridiculous conversation... That was just ridiculous. and MEAN.. I am sorry you sat there throught that.. But its obvious you are a classy woman who knows how to handle herself.. I love your response too.. Short and to the point.. good for you.. I think it was perfect..

thank you guys :( i hate to be complainy, (ok, well sometimes lol) but, i just felt like she was INTENTIONALLY trying to make me look like an idiot..and my son just sat there and he was like, "we're starting over mommy"...like so matter of factly..
i told him, yes and we're lucky, some people just have to stay miserable forever lol
my dh was aggravated as well on the way home but we got alil testy with one another, cause he was mad i was b*tching about it in front of my son who is kinda very mature for his age..(he was totally right, i shoulda saved it for later) i was just so upset, and felt like it was kinda his fault for subjecting both of us to people we didnt want to be around on such an important day for us...
blahhh...anyway again, thank you ladies!!

What a freakin' idiot. I am sorry you had to sit through that. I just don't understand people and their opinions sometimes.
