I HATE UPS!!!!
There is a UPS notice in the entry way of my building telling me that they delivered a package to me, but left it with my neighbor, the next Apt over.
UM HELLO!!!!!!!!!! How on earth does UPS know if I am friendly enough with my neighbor for him to accept packages for me?!?! what if he decided to keep my package?!?!?! It was my sister's laptop for college- what if he opened it and decided well, here is a nice freebie!!!! I am just very lucky my neighbor is a nice guy- I heard him open his door I and came running out. He had been kind enough to hold it for me. I apologized for inconveniencing him, I told him I had no idea UPS would ask my neighbors to accept my packages and would not bother him again.
So I call UPS to complain and there is NO OPTION to do so on the phone. Its one of those awful automated messages that disconnects you if you dont choose one of their options. And, of course, there is no option for 'customer service complaints' or anything of the sort. JERKS! I will be writing a nasty letter, I'm pretty good at that!

You have to find out what the number is to the UPS hub in your area to complain to the proper people.
I have the number to my hub... and its come in quite handy on many occasions (to change delivery times... get in touch with drivers... etc).

I hate when they are so careless.
DH and I came to NY for my baby shower in April and when we got home there was a package left on the front steps of our house. We don't have any bushes or anything so it was in clear view of anyone on the street. It had been sitting there for 3 days!

Wow - we must have the same delivery guy. My engagement ring came from a jeweler in Florida. It was shipped UPS. The package was insured for $10,000!!! The moron delivery guy leaves it on the steps, out in the open, no signature - and it's insured for $10,000!
Of course I didn't find this out until after, but DH and his dad called UPS screaming bloody murder and a supervisor came out to the house to talk to them!!!!
When DH told our jeweler what happened - the jeweler said - you should have reported it stolen - it would have served them right!!!

If UPS does not hand a package to a person... they are responsible if the package doesn't get to you.
If they leave it on the steps... they are taking 100% responsibility that you are going to get it.
They only do this because repeated delivery attempts makes their job harder... and they have no issues risking a missing package here and there to make their lives easier.

thats alright ups left packages outside our apartment door anyone can come and take our stuff too. the front door entrance of our apartment is suppose to be automatic closed that no one from the outside can walk in they have to fix that because anyone can walk in. anyone can walk out with packages and the packages are normally for Dh for his work .
