I have 9 weeks left.....sort of stressing now about..

the room being ready...although DH says it will get done, the house being organized...it is now but I mean once I have my shower and everything being put away, etc...I think this is normal to worry a little right?? This is our first baby. Funny, I am not worried at all about being a mommy just the other stupid stuff...

Absolutely 100% normal! I am right there with you as I will be a scheduled c/s the week before my due date. When is your shower scheduled for?

If it makes you feel better I would only wash the following before the baby is born:

Bedding
Towels
Washcloths
Burp Cloths
Sleep Sac
1 Blanket
Coming Home Outfit
3 sleepers in 0-3
1 pack of undershirts

I would wait to wash and remove tags from the rest of the clothing to make sure the baby will have the correct size clothing to wear. The reason being is that if you wash all the newborn clothing and none of it fits, then you will not be able to return it.

I am also being induced 1 week before my due date...around sept 25 b/c I have GD...so I kinda now skip 1 week and really maybe 2 b/c if I had gone late...so now w/ less time I was starting to feel overwhelmed...I have no clue when my shower is...I am thinking the beg. of Sept?? no idea though....when are you due?

Ahh I see why you are stressed since you don't know the date of your shower.

I am due 10/5 but will likely be a repeat c/s on 9/30 so 5 days after you.
For us August is completely booked solid so this was the last weekend to do anything before September and I just could not see myself wanting to run around BBB getting everything starting at 36 weeks. I would much rather just have to finish up what is needed at that point.

Well, can you poke around to figure out the date of your shower. Typically I have seen them from week 32-36. So I would think August for you and that would give you plenty of time to wash everything, purchase the left over odds and ends and return stuff.

Also, the internet is your FRIEND!!! In case you can't run out just order stuff on line.

Im not even close to getting anything ready (im due 10/17 - but dr said most likely go 1-2 weeks sooner bc of complications) the contractor still has to give me an estimate to finish my basement so i can move my office stuff into the basement. I cant do anything until that is completed.... THEN hopefully after that is done we can start the nursery - which needs spackling painting etc..... ah the stresses.....
