I have a black thumb NOT a green one
I was given two nice plants....and I killed both. My brother gave me a pot of pansies and I put them outside to get some sun because they were wilting. It was really cold yesterday morning and they were frozen due to the frost and I think they are dead I am the worst with plants and flowers.

You don't have a black thumb - mother nature just can't make up it's mind if it wants to freeze, be warm, or be rainy!
All of my tulips died from the cold, so next year, I'll know to get them AFTER April 1.

Just wait until Mother's day until you do any outdoor planting.

You can plant the dead ones in the ground and they will come up next year though!

I would bring them in and put them in a window. Pansies are supposted to like the cold...not the freezing cold though.

plant those pansies once the it gets warmer. We planted them our first summer in our first home and they lasted all winter even through the snow!! They seem to be very hardy plants and beautiful too.

Re: I have a black thumb NOT a green one
aww!! my parents own a garden center- i would give the pansies a chance- they can take cold weather, frost, snow- whatever. my parents have had snow on the ones at their store before!! its probably just becaue they are "shocked' because you put them from being inside in the heat to the outside cold-- they should bounce back soon, though- they definitely aren't afriad of the cold weather!
