I have a question about New york cares...
I signed up today and I guess I will be getting a letter in the mail soon. I was just wondering if they give your address and name to the people you are buying for.
I guess I am a little crazy about things like that. You just don't know what kind of people are out there. Of course there are wonderful people out there that just need your help, but there are also bad people in the world that may take advatage of things like this.I guess I am being a little paranoid.

Not sure, I recently signed up too. I think it is annonymous(?). I'm weird with stuff like that too.

It's annonymous. they don't even want you ot put your name on the wrapped package. Plus, I don't know if this is true for all cases, but I know that in my case, I'm supposed to send the gift to a shelter type of organization (all of the info came with the letter), not a private home residence.

Thanks for the info! I have done this before through my church, but never the New york Cares one. I am a little nuts with giving out my personal info, but I like doing what I can.
