i have a very bad sore throat
is there anything i can take? I've been having a lot of decaf tea w/honey but its not really helping

I came home fromw work this afternoon with a sore throat as well. I'm taking Airborne in the hopes it's just something minor and will go away.

You can s u c k on halls, vitamin c drops, they helped alot for me. Honey straight on a spoon helped too.
Don't quote me on this, but I "think" you can use chloreseptic spray to numb it. I would call the doc first though

Be careful with Airborne. A pg woman shouldn't have too much vitamin B. Did you check with the doc before taking it?
My laid back doc said no to that one

I have a bad soar throat too! It started yesterday and I've been doing the same thing..... lots of tea and honey.

Did you try calling your doctors office? Sometimes they will let you know what you can take without having to actually go in.
Sorry you're sick - hope you are feeling better very soon!

Mine did as well also:
no Zinc
no Echinacea
no Golden Seal root
No Chloraseptic spray
Nothing that numbs.
Basically she told me Halls or Ricola and Robitussing (plain) if I need a little more, and Tylenol for the pain.

im sorry you guys are feeling bad - and although i have no advice on the medication - i was gonna advise everyone being careful with the sore throats... i know strep is around!
