I have been an emotional mess.

Everything new thing Andrew does or just watching him sleep, I cry.

Then I read something on here about the newborns or read something the PG ladies wrote and I cry.

I don't know what's wrong with me.

I cried a lot in the beginning just watching him sleep. Believe me I'm going to fight hard to keep the tears from comings out once his first birthday approaches which is in 3 1/2 months.

When I look at the pictures is when I really see how much he's grown. That itself makes me want to cry.

Another emotional mom here!

Sometimes more than others. I'm having an incredibly hard time dealing with going back to work in 2 weeks, so I'm crying about EVERYTHING lately.

Maybe you are PMSing? I get extremely emotional, more so since having DD, around that time.

Whatever it is - I hope you feel betterChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Ok, I'm going to be the odd one out here and tell you that I don't think it's normal to be crying at everything. Chat Icon Maybe you need to talk out what's going on and what's making you so emotional. I mean, it's normal to be weepy every now and then, but if you're crying over a lot of things, you definitely should talk to someone. Chat Icon

I agree too, if it just started or something is bothering you I would talk to someone about it. Do you think you might have depression?

Re: I have been an emotional mess.

After my first son was born, I turned into such an emotional person. It took me some time to get use to it. I would cry over anything. Now that I have 2, I have gotten even MORE emotional. I guess it just happens, when you become a mom Chat Icon

Re: I have been an emotional mess.

DD is the same age as Andrew and she seems to be doing so much more lately and becoming more "grown up". I find myself a little emotional about that. Looking at pictures and seeing how much she has changed does it too. I don't think I've cried about it but I wouldn't be alarmed if I did. However, if you feel like you are crying more than you think is normal for you, maybe you should talk with a professional. Take care and enjoy your little cutie pie.Chat Icon

Re: I have been an emotional mess.

It ironic - I didn't cry when Samantha was born and was so lucky not to really have issues w/ ppd - but every so often, she'll do something so pecious and my eyes well up...and everytime I watch someone else give birth on a baby story, and I am holding Samantha (usually feeding her at the time!) I well up too! Chat Icon

Thanks everyone. I def know it's not depression. Its not an unhappy cry its a proud, content cry if that makes sense. It def has gotten worse the more things Andrew does.

I don't cry but DH still thinks it's weird how excited I get over all the new things she does
