I have been awake ALL night.

I have THE worst headache... or at least one of the top 3 I've EVER had. DH and I went to bed at a reasonable time but I never fell asleep. I took some pills to try to get rid of it, and that didn't help. I even went as far as to pull out an ice pack from the freezer hoping to 'move' the pain but that didn't work either. It didn't matter if I tried to sleep on my left side, right side, stomach or back... NOTHING worked.

So now I have to drop DH off at the bus to head into the city, where I will be meeting him tonight to go to our favorite restaurant that I've been craving for months, and then drive all the way back out east w/ him tonight. I'll be driving our car in later on this afternoon...

UGH- I hope I can manage to sleep for a little while after I get back from dropping him off b/c right now I feel like I got hit by a truck.
Plus, as many of you know, I take care of my grandma during the day b/c no one is home at my mom's house and my grandma can't be alone--- I have to go over there in a couple of hours and then at 11 I have to be at the drs for a physical - which I have to get b/c medicare/medicaid (forget which one) REQUIRES it so I can continue to take care of my grandma. I'm sure I'll look wonderful w/ an extra layer of baggage under my eyes...

Do you think it could be from the BCPs?

I think its definately from the bcp's. I hate those more than any drug I have to take. (and I take many IF drugs). Hang in there at least you dont have to stay on them for long. Drink alot alot alot of water!!! Good Luck this cycle.

Thanks everyone. I finally fell asleep around 7:30, go figure Then I set my alarm for 8:15 so I could get ready to go to my mom's house to watchmy grandma, and turned it off and fell back asleep Luckily I had set the backup alarm and woke up 20 mins later...
I felt refreshed when I jumped out of bed in a panic, but I think that was just adrenaline (sp?) because now that I'm here I feel horrible.
I took the BCP about 2 hours earlier than I usually do last night, thinking it was a good idea b/c I was planning on going to bed earlier than usual. NEVER again... I will take it when I go to bed like I had been and hope that I fall asleep before this headache has a chance to kick back in...

It could definitely be the BCP. Is there any way your doctor could try giving you a different one?

If it makes you feel any better--I was tossing and turning with you last night! I got up at 6:00 to go to work, but then started getting sick and I was wayyyy too tired to be a teacher--so I went back to sleep.
