I have been back at work for close to a month (vent)

...and I have not gotten a check yet. It also looks like I won't be getting a check this Friday, the next payday, either. I was dropped from my health insurance during my FMLA leave, and even though I am back on the payroll for now, our budget person hasn't been able to get me on for the fall (I'm a teacher). I'm also owed 2 checks from my leave that seem to be lost in space.

The payroll person at my school is working on it, but isn't really getting anywhere. I don't even know who to call myself- I usually like working for NYC, but now I get why people get so angry- the amount of red tape is staggering.
