I have high cholesterol
Just got a call from dr, my check up results are in, all looks good except my cholesterol of 230 Yikes! I have to start working out again!

If you can, try eating some oatmeal in the morning. It will really help lower your cholesterol.

My whole family has high cholesterol.It's hereditary for us.I have tried every diet and exercise and it didn't work.I have to take meds for it. Hang in there

Thanks for your good wishes, everyone
My dad is a health nut so he gave me a lot of good info. After the holidays, I am going to get a personal trainer and see a nutritionist. I want to do whatever I can to avoid medicine and lower it.

The odd thing is my dad is 150-something and mom is 180. My maternal grandmother and her sister are high...

It's more about diet than exercise. You doctor should have given you a low cholesterol diet. Basically you want to cut out fatty and fried stuff. But your dad is probably giving you good info so I'll let him take the wheel
Don't worry too much, you should be able to control it without meds.
