I have problems about teeth. do you have any deal breaker problems?

so, last weekend or so, dh and I were sitting around eating olives with my uncle and his wife.

I started washing some dishes when I heard a bloodcurdling "cracking" sound.

dh says "uh oh, my tooth" I immediately froze and started covering my face saying "shut up...no. I can't look" as he was trying to make me see his cracked tooth. then, I heard something hard hit the floor.

I actually tried to run out of the house, without looking at him, and was on the verge of tears at the though of him having a cracked tooth. I screamed for my uncle to come and look at him, and heard them both laughing their arses off as I was shown the the "tooth" was just an olive pit.

I don't think I could have handled him with a broken tooth.

is there anything about your dh or SO that you love, that would break your heart if it changed?

his smile lights up my life...it really does. I am just not sure what about it I love more, the perfect pearly whites, or the joy that is behind them.

I am a teeth person too.

I would be sad if my husband shaved his legs.

I don't know if I'd say a dealbreaker, but I'd be heartbroken if DH lost his hair. He is blessed to have a full head of extremely thick, soft hair (I'm so jealous of it, actually!)

well, unfortunately the first thing that attracted me to my husband is/was his spiky full head of hair which he is quickly losing. I can't say it's a deal breaker, but I am starting to panic a bit and I've made an appt for him to meet with a dermatologist and get a prescription for Propecia!

Teeth are big with me too.
I get very distracted and turned off by bad teeth. Especially when they are stained and discolored. Sometimes when someone is talking to me and they have bad teeth I find myself focusing on it so much I can't even concentrate on what they are saying!

I hold myself to that high standard as well- I am paranoid about my teeth and am always making sure I go on time for my 6 month cleanings, flossing, using White Strips once a year.

Teeth are just huge to me.

no.. I love him for who he is.. if something happened to him to change his appearance I would still love him.

I thought you were going to ask if there were injuries we just couldn't deal with- for me its eye stuff, I can't look at eyes!

I am way to shallow for that Lauren. Chat Icon

sadly I would still love him immensely, I'd just try not to make him too happy, or laugh to much Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

My SO has to be somewhat athletic.

I once dumped a guy because he was climbing a rock wall next to an overweight man and could not beat him. Such a turn off to me. Ridiculous I know.

I became attracted to DH watching him play basketball. He's pretty good at it.

I'm pretty into fitness, and DH is pretty athletic, but he's not exactly in the shape that he used to be in. His age is catching up to him. If he decided to be a couch potato and just let himself go, I wouldn't be too happy. Not a deal breaker, but something that would bother me (not just because his appearance would change, but I would find it hard to respect someone who has no respect for their own health).

I like blue collar type guys. A guy that can get dirty. I don't like guys that take longer to prep than I do.

I also like guys that are into cars. Work on them, make modification on them, etc.

I went on a date with a guy that owned a Ford Focus. Let's just say I only went on one date with him! Hahaha.

Big man told me the day before he met me he had gone to the dentist because he cracked his tooth on a beer bottle the weekend prior.

I told him, lucky you did.
I don't do crack head teeth.

If DH got too fat I might not be as attracted to him.

And if he suddenly became tone deaf and couldn't play the paino anymore I would be devastated! Something about his strong hands gliding across the keys just makes me melt into a puddle. Chat Icon

And if he couldn't take me to expensive steakhouses I might be upset too.....and the teeth thing is a no-brainer. I couldn't even stand my own teeth before I had them done!

Physically it would be his eyes. I love them.

Personality-wise it would be his sense of humor. Although I suspect he's going to be one of those grouchy, complaining old men as he gets older. Moaning about the government, etc. Oh wait that's him now.

Maybe it wasn't a deal breaker.Chat Icon
