I have the best team/my weekend has begun/it was a great day

My boss is on vacation and her boss is on vacation. While she is out I will be reporting to the Director of Travel operations who I am really friendly with. He told me today that the office is closing at 1pm tomorrow. The phones have really been quiet, I am caught up on everything, I've done 2 days of constant training and decided I have more then enough time I want to take the 4 hours I would be there as PTO. And he gave it to me.

One of the people that reports to me who started last week for christmas gave me a present of a bottle of wine I was in shock. I thought that was very sweet of him.

And the wonderful cherry on top of my day, the surprised look on the director's face when he opened his gift from the secret santa. He was speachless. I got him 2 fuente fuente OpusX cigars. I know absolutely nothing of cigars, but these cigars are the top of the line cigars. You dont get any better then them in the US. He smokes cigars and knows his cigars, to receive a gift like that he knew I went over what the limit was (which was $10) but the good thing was no one else in my office would know that. He looked around the room and he had to know who it was. He called me over and said do you know who this is from. I smiled and winked at him. When he hugged me he whispered in my ear "these are more then $10 a piece cigars" I whispered back "Merry Christmas. I really appreciate you and everything you do" Later in the day he asked me how I got his name. I laughed and told him I was last to pick names and I got lucky I told him when he was leaving he had to be good to me for a full year, he got a bottle of Grey Goose on Monday and cigars on Thursday. That should give me tons of brownie points and he has to be good to me. He laughs and said I gave you the day off didnt I.
