I have the sure fire cure for constipation!!!
Medjool dates!
They are sweet and delicious, 1st of all, and loaded with folic acid.... and very hearty fruit - plus, they make you crap like crazy!!!

What do they taste like?
I have always loved them - they have a creamy, caramel type taste - you can not buy them packaged though - they are sold usually in Waldbaums in a large box next to the bananas, with tongs - you can wash them gently before eating, and in some health food stores - but most super markets should carry them - remember - not packaged - they taste horrible - they also need to be soft, not hard....

I hope it works for you - I have to say that Metamucil, prunes, veggies, and fruit didn't really do it for me in terms of moving things along - I was just craving these dates because I love them - and usually avoided them before PG because I was worried they would make me gain weight, but since I've gained only 4-5 pounds so far, I was like, to hell with it....
and then - whoa - I have been on the toilet 3 times a day - I know this is TMI - but I mean - they have been MEANINGFUL trips!

They didn't work for me! I tried those in the beginning of the PG and I still couldn't go. Drinking MORE water and taking 2 Fiber Choice Tablets a day works for me.

OK... So I went on a mad search for the dates and I finally found them at the last stop, the local organic health food store in my town. I must say... I was a bit hesitant in buying these strange things They are pretty intimidating (no pun intended! ) I got only a few just incase I hated them... well.... THEY ARE DELICIOUS!!!!!!

DH wants me to eat prunes... insert puke icon here... for the fiber and the health benefits.
Prunes remind me when I was a teenager and a cashier at Foodtown. All of the 100 year old men would come in and stock up on prunes when they were on sale... I mean containers and containers of them I can't get their faces out of my head
