Can you just invite them and not talk to them? I mean, they seem like they won't even want to come but you would come out being the bigger person. Sorry you have to go through this.

Honestly, my dad is kinda wierd like that. I don't even worry or base plans around him at all. For me it goes something like this... If he calls around an "event" I will invite him just once. I leave it up to him to remember.  If not, which is usually the case, I don't waste my time calling.
