I Have to say (re: DD turning 1)
That although it still makes me  and  that my baby is 1...
She's just soooo much fun now. I swear, it's like she knew she turned 1, and that she should "grow up" with her behaviors. She's doing stuff in the last week that she's never done before. Sitting in bigger-kid positions, playing with toys differently (although it does help that the toys are new toys she got at her birthday, and they're not baby toys, they're big girl toys), playing hide & seek, etc.
She's just blossomed, so quickly...it makes the shock of her being 1 that much easier to take.

Awww, this makes me feel a little better about it.
I have to say, although I posted last night about having the anxiety of him turning 1 soon, I can honestly say I wouldn't trade it for the world.
As he got older i really started to feel more and more comfortable with him and being a mom and all that. Getting to that point was rough for me so I wouldn't ever want to go back.
And man, he is so freaking entertaining now!

aww i am with you C- I feel the same with DS...He's so awesome and fun and i cant believe a year has passed! I am def a little sad hes growing so quickly...we just have to remember to step back and enjoy every minute!
