I have turned into that mom!
That lets her 2 1/2 year old have chocolate kisses at 8:30 in the morning because he asked so politely and is just, in general, the sweetest little boy!
So, what so you do, or allow your DC to do, that you wouldn't have ever thought you would?

Dont feel so bad...I have given Jacob a tiny piece of cake early in the morning on occasion...he just looks at me with those eyes and asks so nicely...how can I say no?

All I can think of is Bill Cosby on stage singing 'Dad is great, he give us some chocolate cake!'
Spoiling isn't just for aunts, uncles and grandparents!!!

Re: I have turned into that mom!
I gave my son about 10 aminal crackers in the car yesterday b/c he said "please", well "mmmmm" which is how he says please. I thought of it as a lesson in poliotness. As long as he doesn't tell daddy

DS saw the Oreos and looked at me and said "More"...Couldn't say no. Just happened a few mins. ago. When he wants something "More" is the word right now...We are working on "Please".

Re: I have turned into that mom!
DD doesn't like any sweets (I swear those are not my genes ), but she does ask for TV a lot...and while I do hold out a lot, I do cave occasionally if she's super cute when asking.

I am so that mom too - and I don't care! I let Athan nibble on chocolate when I have it and he is sooo happy! He hums while he eats it, smacks his lips together, and then gives me a great big hug.

Re: I have turned into that mom!
If DD uses the sign for cookie instead of jumping up and down and pointing, it doesn't matter what time of the day or night, or how many she has already had - she gets one.

Re: I have turned into that mom!
Chocolate pudding for breakfast.
It was a once & a lifetime thing where they were told they could have it for dessert but we didn't have whipped cream. I was out of the house. DH said pudding was no good without whipped cream & sent them to bed without dessert. When I came home they were still crying in their beds. I felt bad so I told them they could have it in the morning.
I recognize it was not my best parenting moment, but it all works out when Maddie has a tomato for dessert and Joseph opts for an apple with peanut butter.

Re: I have turned into that mom!
Thats me too!
Sunday we have family dinner with my sisters, brothers & nephews. We always have dessert after dinner & this past weekend we had the Friendly's hunka chunka pb fudge ice cream roll. DS had a small piece, ate it, then saw me put chocolate syrup on mine. He looks at me "Mommy, can I have another piece please, i want it just like yours" I couldn't say no...so 2 pieces of ice cream cake it was & one with chocolate syrup of course
