I havent done albums or video

from the wedding and it has been 6 months. I just havent had the time to sit and look through the pictures ....will this be a problem for the photographer???

Dont even stress.

I am married a year and just got my video (it was my fault. The videographer did it in 2 months) and I am doing my album this week.

My mom's friends daughter got married on Saturday and she used my photographer. My mom told him "hi from us and that I will be faxing him stuff this week. He told her not a problem and would be in the office on Wednesday so I can fax it then so he'll pick it up off the fax.

with mine if it was past 3 months the balance was due in full before they start production, but I only gave them 1/2 b/c I upgraded and added on another 2k onto the bill, so they worked with me- I just did it 2 weeks ago, this thurs will be 3 weeks, if it wasnt for the thank yous I prob would have waited even longer but I feel bad I want my guest to get them so this week they go out! hallelujah- Im half way done- my hand hurt!

I totally forgot about paying them the rest ...diidnt I do that already when I got the thank you's????

should I call them or just pick out all my stuff this week???

My photographer was paid by the time I got my proofs so you should have already paid him/her in full.

Give them a call to verify if you paid in full. Once you get that off your mind, find some time and pick your pics. You dont want to rush your album choices.

Oh no mine was different I got the proofs but did not have to pay in full. they left a very small balance to pay when I drop off my proofs for the albums, they do it as a package so I didnt get my thank yous separate. I would do it if you have the time now- it really takes time to go through the proofs and pick out the pics, for the parent albums I let my parents pick out the 18 pics they wanted, so less stress on me. At least start it do a little each day dont make yourself nuts. I would NEVER pay a vendor in full especially a photographer or video in case I dont like the work.

My photographer had 3 payment installments. The downpayment, a payment right before the wedding and then a payment when the proofs were ready. I wasnt at all worried about the work.

My videographer was the same way. A downpayment, payment right before the wedding and a payment when the video's were ready. I definatly was not worried at all about the work.

We are doing our album this week since we are both off. We were told it will be about 3 months to make so we are not rushing at all.

Thats good, I would have said that too since seeing my stepbrothers album and video - we used the same photo/video and seeing some sample albums while in the studio, BUT when I was there to do my album- someone came in , in full force angry with the quality of their video, thankfully mine was perfect, that scared me a bit so I am not paying anyone till the final product is done and Im happy; for them and any future events, unless its mandatory you pay in full before services are rendered.

Oh my gosh. I agree I wouldn't pay anyone until the finished product unless it's mandatory.

(except my house..LOL it was paid in full prior to the construction however if their was something we didnt like they did change it. Hey they removed trees that werent even on our property just because we didnt like where they were and feared if a strong wind came the trees would fall on our house)

I've been married 14 months and still haven't done my album or video. Our parents got annoyed that we procranstinated, so they submitted the pics they wanted and got their albums already.

Mine charges additional monies if production on your album hasn't started one year after the date of the affair.
