I havent in awhile

So can I just vent:

Yesterday we went out to dinner with my IL's (ya know because we have to go there every FRIDAY regardless of who is sick, tired, or worked a 12 hr shift )

When we were walking to the car my FIL says (fooling around) "he told me he wants to sleep at our house tonight"- My DH chuckles and says "Yea- right- maybe when he's 10" My MIL then snaps- "Why- he slept over his other grandma's already" (my moms- the baby slept there ONCE and ONLY because DH and I went to the Billy Joel concert and wouldnt be getting home to real real late- I didnt want her to have to drive home late, she couldnt stay at my house because of my brother, and I didnt think it would be fair to the baby to wake him in the middle of the night- and bring him home!)

Seriously- she's gotta be kidding me...I just wanted to yell GROW UP from the back of the car..

We spend way more time with them- then we do with my family- and only because she throws temper tantrums if we dont.... Last weekend she made sure we saw them everyday- and the 1 day we were having company over and wouldnt see them- they stopped by anyway

Nothing is ever enough for her and seriously Im just so tired.... for instance I emailed her a pic of Ryan and my friends kids in Ry's little red wagon- instead of saying the pic is cute- all she could say is- "I hope WE can take him for a walk in that wagon" (Keep in mind- we kept the wagon at their house up until 2 weeks ago- so they've used it plenty)

Ohhh and did I forgot to mention- the new name she wants the baby to call her (and she refers to herself) is "Ma"



ETA- How could I 4get- that when she told me she got RJ his b-day present, and I asked what it was-she refused to tell me- and then said "Im only worried about "matching" your mother- And she wasnt talking about getting the same gift

It sounds like you guys do MORE than enough of involving Ryan in their lives, she jsut seems to be good at pressing all the wrong buttons

Yuove done nothing wrong, just keep smilin, and she wants to be called "ma"???? WOW now thats a step overboard

Is this lady for real????? I would start making Fridays your girls night out days! Forget going over there. I don't think I could deal with that. There is no way in mell my children would call their Grandmother Ma!! Unless you make Ryan go country & have him call him MaMaw. If she says anything I would say I am his Mother, Mommy, Momma, Ma, no else get ANY of those names!!!

Does your husband even notice the zings she gives??

I would not be going over there EVERY friday either.

She's being very immature again with the whole comment about sleeping over. I really think that EVERY friday is a bit much. Can't you relax and enjoy your family without them coming over???

I feel bad for you. I give you so much credit for putting up with as much as you. I also think you need to forget about the evreyday bit. I would rather her be angry with me and be childish and not talk to her than to give in to her. As far as RJ calling her Ma, I think that is ridiculous. She already has a son she did her part in raising him now it is your turn to be a mom. I feel really bad for you because I feel like she isn't letting you enjoy being a mom for the first time.

She is really a piece of work. I have no idea how you put up with even half of what you put up with. The "ma" thing would be the end of the rope for me.

OMG. My MIL wants to be called Mom-mom which her mother was called. I don't like it but what ever, but every time kaylee says Ma-ma for me my MIL say "look she's calling me". I feel your pain. I swear MIL are a piece of work.

Man, she is one serious headcase. Sounds like the kids held that marriage together and she's missing that glue.
