I hope I dont turn into the traveling mom who lets her toddler get away with being rude

My flight from FL to NY was HORRIBLE!!!

I had a woman behind me who had a child on her lap and 2 toddlers. The one todler a boy was behind me. When he got into his seat he kicked my seat. I said nothing and chalked it up to he's probably getting comfortable. I know the feeling. Then he kicked my seat again. I dont do anything. Then again, and again and again and again. And he continued to kick my seat for 2 more hours. I honestly don't know how I kept my cool. All I kept thinking was I am pregnant and one day I will be traveling with a toddler. I have to understand this is a toddler. But after 2 hours of constantly kicking my seat and the mother did absolutely NOTHING, I finally turned and said to the lady can you please tell your son to stop kicking my chair. She looked at me like how dare I ask such a question. She did NOTHING!!! He continued to kick my seat. I finally turned around and said ma'm I am 7 months pregnant your son has been kicking my seat for over 2 hours, I kindly ask you to tell your son to stop it. Her response "well he's 3

W T F - teach him manners. tell him it's not nice to kick someone's seat.

I would say 'yes, he's three, and obviously too young to travel. I should not be punished for your decision.

My DH couldnt believe I held out for 2 hours. He said after 10 minutes he would have said hey knock it off

I just cant believe how the mother did and said nothing.

Oh she is so lucky I wasnt there I would have told that kid to knock the crapp off myself propably after 10 minutes No patience here !!

Well, you already have incredible patience, so you are off to a great start!!

Seriously, I hate when other parents are like that with their kids. It is so much harder to teach the right thing, and so many parents just don't care. I was at the doctor with my daughter yesterday, waited over an hour and a half, and this toddler kept running up and down the office the entire time, and would hit my legs each time he passed. The mother thought this was hysterical!!!

Wow- You have the patience of a saint! Seriously- If It was me, I would have lost my cool real fast. Thats one thing I wasn't given at birth- patience.

The problem is not that he's 3(which is well old enough to follow a sternly worded stop kicking the chair, followed by a look of death) The problem is people suck
