I inherited a vintage evening gown with a mink collar...
...and I freaking' love it! It is so beautiful and elegant. The gown is heavy gold material and is pretty straight. It's sleeveless with a deep v and the v and collar are lined with mink. It stinks like mothballs and I have no idea where to get something like that cleaned. I want to go to a gala event to wear it!
It comes with a gold satin evening coat. It has 3/4 sleeves, a tight bodice, three buttons and then just opens up into this gorgeous puff. I'm not doing it any justice with this description.
My third I heritence is a sink quilted sheath from the mid 60s in ivory.
The best part about everything? They fit like gloves!

I think I'll have my dh take pus before I get them cleaned- to show you all and to have some before evidence in case anything goes wring with the cleaning!

I know! I wad talking to my friend about thus and she said if we don't have an official gala to attend, I should get dressed up in the dress and coat, dh should put on one of his tailored suits and we should go see the nutcracker and then to rockefeller center and have someone take pictures.
It us unfortunate, however, that if I gain 2 pounds I will nit be able to breathe in the gown ir sheath. (the coat has a tint room to grow!)
