I just applied to be on a HGTV show!
What's wrong with me-- it's a new show and the girl already wrote me back. They are supposed to assess what your home worth is..
Of course I did all unbeknowst to DH!

Unfortunately it is not a design show-- but it's a new show called "My home is worth what?" which has experts come in and evaluate your home and tell you how much value your improvements have added to your property. Also, they tell you what other things you can do to increase your value even more.
We bought last September and plan to be in this place no longer than 5 years-- so anything to fetch the highest price and keep our place at the top of a potential buyers list is key. We live in a condo in Hoboken and there is a TON of new construction-- in a couple years time the market will be very saturated-- although we'd probably be ready to sell before anyone in the new buildings would be.

well-- they got back to me today after sending them pics of our place and of us-- and they really want us to be on the show-- BUT we have to submit a video so they can show to the execs or something..
We don't have a video camera and we are going away on Wed for a week- they are shooting in NY in the middle of August- so it does not give us much time to find a camera do our video and plan around them coming here for an 8 HOUR shoot!!
We'll see what happens.

My friend was actually on one of their shows called In a Fix. They fixed up her house and then she turned around and sold it!! LOL

Good luck! DH and I were going to be on Movin' Up with Doug Wilson when we moved last year. But, eventually the producers didn't accept us b/c the person buying our home loved it just the way it was. They wanted to see her change something! Oh well!
