I just can't believe it!!! UPDATED
Today Damien told me, "Mommy I am going to sleep in my bed tonight" (we co-sleep with him) He told me he is getting to be a bigger kid and he is going to kindergarten so he needs to be in his own bed not Mommy and Daddy's Part of me is thrilled to have our bed back (well if he sticks to it ) But another part is so sad that my baby is growing up. It is good because we moved Jaidy to her crib when she was a year old so we only had him in our bed and I was afraid when Jaidy got old enough to realize he was in with us she would want to be too. He had transitioned to the crib at a year also but just past his second birthday he had a fever that lasted 2 weeks and went as high as 104 so we brought him to our bed to keep and eye on him and he never left. I just can't believe he decided on his own this soon. I really thought it would be more like 7 or 8.

Oh you are so lucky!!! I wish Julia would say that to us, she still co-sleeps with us... I don't know what to do to get her to sleep in her big girl bed, and with school starting soon its going to be so hard.

Thats great though at least he made the attempt....Keep trying and see if he attempts it alone again tonight.
My 4 yr old is with us too...says every day he'll sleep in his big boy bed and won't
