I just don't understand
This morning I weighed myself and I weigh 1.4 lbs heavier then yesterday morning. What I don't get is yesterday I didnt even eat a lot. I was within my calories and I finished dinner early too. I swear the scale is the devil!

Re: I just don't understand
There are many reasons for daily fluctuations in weight. You aren't up 1.4 pounds of fat...that I am sure. Its most likely water retention from what you did eat yesterday, or it could be hormonal, or from not drinking enough water yesterday so the body didn't 'flush out' properly...I can go on.
Don't obsess with that number today.... make sure you eat properly, drink plenty of water and throw in some exercise
You call your scale the devil...I call mine 'a filthy liar'....

Re: I just don't understand
You 100% cant gain 1lb of body fat in one day- it is def all water retention- you might have had a little salt and didnt drink enough water- just because the scale is going down, it is more how you feel for yourself- if your clothes are fittinig differently and you feel better about yourself- in order to lose weight at a rapid pace you need to eat 5-6 small meals per day, each meal has to be basic and plain- and you have to do cardio and fitness training atleast 4-5 days per week, if not 6 days..... people always say "oh i could have 1 day of cheating" thats all bs...... if you havent reached your goal you shouldnt cheat at all- and when you do you only should have 2 meals per week of whatever you want not 2 days.... if you need any help feel free to contact me!!!

I totally agree that there is no way you gained a lb of body fat in a day. It could be sodium, digestive, hormonal etc. I also agree that you should try to focuso n how you feel/look rather than the number. I struggle with this too as when the number goes up I feel my clothes getting tighter even if they arent!
I do however, disagree with some of your other points. You can absolutely eat things that go beyond "basic and plain." The idea is to find foods that satisfy you and are tasty but are healthy so that you want to stick to them long term. I also disagree with the fact that you can't have a cheat meal until after you've reached your goal. In my eyes that's setting yourself up for a binge. I had a cheat meal every week when i was losing weight and even when I prepared for my competition I had one calculated higher carb day to keep my metabolism moving.
Cardio is helpful in losing weight and burnign fat but it is not the be all and end all. Get it in when you can but Personally, 6 days a week is excessive in my mind.
