I just dropped Emily off at School...
...for her very first day!
She was totally fine, went right in to play and didn't even stop to give me a kiss or to say goodbye 
I waited outside the door for a few minutes to see if she realized that she didn't kiss me but she was hard at work playing with some toys at a table with BOYS! 
3 o'clock can't come fast enough or me today 
ETA: when I picked her up she was happy to see me and chatted the whole time in the car about her day. They learned about circles, sang a song and clapped hands, went to the playground and she went on the tunnel slide which is a big deal because she's always too nervous to go on them with us, and played with trains, cars and airplanes with the boys.
Apparently she likes playing with boys all of a sudden!

I am sitting here thinking about how well the day went.
On the way home she was telling me that her friend Shelby was crying because she wanted her Mommy.
Em said that she told Shelby "Don't worry, it's OK, I'm your friend, it's OK." and patted her on the back.
It's making me get all mushy that my little girl was trying to help her friend feel better.

You will be amazed what you learn about the other kids in the class - who cries, who doesn't listen, who pooped in their pants I get stories every day.
