i just found out i have graves disease!
anybody have any advice???
just stressing a bit.

isn't that just an overactive thyroid disorder? mine is underactive - i don't know much about overactive thyroids, but i think both can be controlled with medication so i hope everything will be ok!!

yes overactive thyroid......
i have to go on meds and its either the meds or the condition affects the babies thyroid.
and ....i might not be able to BF...really bummed!

I had graves disease years ago, was on medication then the dr decided to do the radioactive iodine treatment. Obviously you can't do that while your pregnant, but afterwards its probably an option. Now i have hypothyrodism which is a lot easier to control. Are you going to see an endocrinologist? They are very on top of things while your pregnant

For me, yes. But it wasn't something brought on by pregnancy. Is yours? i'm not sure how that works, Sorry!!

For me, yes. But it wasn't something brought on by pregnancy. Is yours? i'm not sure how that works, Sorry!!
it seems to have started during prgnancy...don't know what brought it on.
