I just found two ticks on Morgan!
SOO scary, one was on her chest and one was beginning to bury itself on the inside of her arm! Thankfully she is light, so we saw them...but I worry about Riley who is mostly all black...
We have some longer grass, next to the house (Common land ownded by the city)...if I call them will they come and mow it?...they never have in the past...but DH has been getting ticks on him when he mows too...its ridiculous

glad you found them!
i would definitely call the town - we have that common land too (now they are building the bike path so its not an issue) but the town used to mow it.

Call earthcare they are out in suffolk co, They have all natural pest killers that are Pet friendly.. Garlic and all natural products.. I have been using them for 2 years now. I am very happy...

I found a tick on each of my 3 dogs and decided before it got worse I would try Frontline-I have never used it before. Its been just about a month, the girls are outside playing alot, and I have yet to find another tick on any of them since applying the Frontline.

Can I ask where you live (is it LI, Nassau or Suffolk)?
This tick stuff really scares me. I would def call whomever, they need to be taking care of that land. That is not fair that you have to face the repercussions from it.

I Live in NC, and when we moved my vet in LI said to make sure I gave the tick preventative all year round b/c ticks are a problem here...last year we didn't have any issues...this year its been crazy. I hate these things...they skeeve me out
