I just got a $115 parking ticket!
I am so mad! I have no parkingin my neighborhood (Park Slope) and had to move this small cushioned bench out of my car and into my apt. I parked by the hydrant in frot of my house, ran in and was about to run back out when my crazy landlord starts talking to me about how I look like I have burdens in my life and she can see it in my eyes and then she starts crying and I say, I have to go, I'm parked at the pump and as I am running to my car, the ticket agent is finishing up her business and BAM $115 ticket. So now the cushioned bench that I got on sale at JC Penny for 140 now cost me $255 and I am sure as h ell that I could have gotten a much nicer bench for $255.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Oh crap. Sorry about that. 
I had a ticketer lying in wait for me one day at the train station. They have that eagle eye. They were probably watching you!

They're computerized now. All that those worthless pieces of crap need to do now is scan your registration sticker and punch in some violation code...and they're off to ruin someone else day.

don't even get me started on those [insert words i can't say] dark blue car driving traffic enforcement. I got a 115 dollar ticket for double parking for 5 minutes in the rain... I just ran inside to grab my son from my 82 year old g/ma who was watching him.
If you try to *fight* it, sometimes they offer you a plea bargain that reduces it... DON'T TRY TO FIGHT IT, b/c they most probably won't wave it and then you lose the PB offer.

you can plead not guilty and get a hearing by mail
they will most likely lower the amount
I did it once and it worked- I just tried it again

I grew up in Windsor Terrace (right next to Park slope), I had friends in Park Slope, and I would rather walk or take the F for 1 stop than drive! Parking is soooooooooo bad there!!

Thanks, I love it too, and my block is usually not that bad, today o all days I COULD NOT find a spot anywhere! Of course, the day i am lugging this thing out of my car. I must've looked like a crazy woman.

My husband has stopped driving. He takes the R everywhere now. He is so much calmer!
