I saw it last night on 702, too. How could someone be so heartless and such an oppourtunist?? 
She was the president of a Survivor's group untill the NYT started asking questions and the group kicked her out.

I dont get how this couldnt bother her, how sincere she seemed- but where did she get the burn scars from????

I think little by little pieces came together - Merril Lynch said she was never employed there, her fiance's family never herad of her...

It's really strange. The only "gain" that she seemed to get from it, was recognition and attention, but she used it to help the real survivors.
I think the worst part of it is that she brought other families into her lie.

She obviously has issues. Probably self-confidence. She made herself a hero for recognition. I think it went much further than she must have originally anticipated. Then she got sucked into it.
While this is not fair to many survivors (she lied to them), I think it's the most harmful to the family and "fiance". She created a story with him and in essence tarnished HIS life.
It actually reminds me of the "while you were sleeping" movie ....in a less glamorous version.

I read an article about her before she was outed, and they said she was visibly uncomfortable with press around her... wonder why?

Disgusting. I seriously doubt that she didn't profit at all from this.
I hope she is investigated fully for fraud & that they check anyone who donated to her so-called charity. I'm sure she used every single appearance & meeting with politicians to boost her scam.
