I keep reading different things.....

and I know this has probably been asked LOTS of times, but how long can you freeze BM for in a regular refrigerator freezer?

Also, if I thaw it out by just putting it in the fridge, how long can it stay there before I have to use it?

I am making so much milk, and decided instead of trying to decrease my supply, I'm pumping and trying to start stocking up so I'll have plenty by the time I go back to work in April and I wont worry so much about pumping while at work, even though I'm planning on trying my best.

I have about 10 3oz bottles backed up in the fridge and no bottles left! and I'm gonna start freezing it in bags in 5oz amounts.

When I took my baby care class I believe they said you can freeze BM for a few months. But once you defrost it, you have to use it.

i was told and used the 666 rule

6 hours room temp
6 days in the fridge
6 months in the freezer

I only took milk out of the freezer and defrossted it either in hot water and used it right away or left it in the fridge to defrost.
