I KNEW this was going to come up! re: Godparents

DH has 1 sister and 1 brother (both younger than him)
I have 1 brother (older)

We chose DH's best friend as godfather and my mother as godmother. Regardless of our reasons, that is who WE have chosen.

SO, today MIL asks DH who is godmother (DS's baptism is in 3wks). DH tells her and she starts in on him about how his brother (their DD is 6 mos) and DH didn't chose his sister to be godmother. And when she heard that my mom was going to be godmother she said "But she's his gramma" --Um, isn't his sister his aunt?!?! Anyway...

DH stopped her dead in the middle of her rant and totally stood up for me. I always feel left out and really don't feel like I am part of the family. DH's sister and SIL hang out ALL the time and never include me. I mean NEVER!! He went on and on about how I feel and all she said was "oh". Basically, she knows what he's saying is right and she had NOTHING to saw! Screw that!

DH did make it known that his sister will be godmother to our second, which is true.
