I know I am not a regular poster here but...
I know most people on LIF are here to be supportive. I have a friend whose husband just found out his sperm are misshapen? From what they were told 85% of sperm are, as long as he has 4% or more that are not misshapen it would be okay. They determined he was <1%. Could anyone point me in the direction of some research or personal stories via fm so that I could help my friend find some answers? Thanks so much

I'm sorry I don't have more info but my DH had the same issue although his number for the SA was 17% so a bit better. It's called morphology. If you do some searches on seman analysis and morphology, I'm sure you will get some more info. Those numbers seem pretty low but he should definitely have them retested! and i think he can see a urologist to assess why the numbers are so low. hope that helps.

My DH has morphology issues and they told me that IUI is the best answer for us since the sperm are washed and they choose the best.

Their MD will probably recommend IVF with ICSI for morphologhy that low. You can do a serch on ICSI, that might help.
