I know I can be impatient but come on... PED related!

Background. DS was supposed to start a class since September but has been under the weather and with him it always linger. He needed 1 shot to get into the school program. We had to postponne that 1 shot.

So he is finally over it. I waited 2+ weeks.

I call the PED and I am told I cannot get an appt for 1.5 weeks. All the appts are taken for the flu shots. Apparently they reserve spots for vaccinations.

Now, that's great the flu shot ,etc... but why does it have to suppersed ALL the other regular shots.

Anyway, I am SO done with this practice. That was the last drop. I am sure I appear unreasonable but I cannot believe I have to wait 1.5 week to have a 5 minute visit to do 1 shot. While I have to wait that long to get a shot and wait about another hour each time I have an appt.

I don't love my ped either but they have walk-ins for shots in the afternoon. No appt necessary. One good thing.

I feel the same way about my ped office. I just called to schedule his 18 month visit and they were booked 2 spots left almost 1 month out and only schedule one month out at a time.

I disliked my first ped and I was on the fence switching since she was a newborn. I ended up just switching because my dh was really fed up too, I have to say IT WAS THE BEst decision ever. I am so in love with my new practice and the doctors are great, the nurses are so caring. They have 5 docs working at one time and they are all good. FM me if you want the name, I am located in central suffolk county. Good luck...I know how frusterating it can be.
