I know it's a little early but do you have an idea of what you are doing on mother's day?

Are you spending it alone with just your DH & kids or going to split the day with your mom & mil?

since being married we've always done it with both families together.
They get along well so it's nice all the moms are together including my sister.
We also got married May 12th so first time was our brunch the morning after our wedding.

Last year we all met in the city and had brunch at a nice restaurant and went to the tenement museum
One year we went to Peter Lugers

Hopefully we'll do something in the city again. IL's are in LI and both me and my fam are in NJ so it's a nice meeting spot on the middle

I usually host Mother's Day for my mom, dad, MIL, FIL.

Not sure about this year with the twins having been just born.

Every year its DH DD I and the in laws and SIL's. I like it that way!

I will spend the caledar mother's day as my mom wishes.

I will spend my mother's day w/ DS how I want...probably 2 weeks after.


I decided that as long as my mom is still with me, its her "day". I know I'm a mom also.

I like taking DS on "Mommy and DS Special Days" so we'll do one when the weather gets nicer.

So much easier then fighting over what to do w/who...

I will more than likely spend a quiet day with just DH and DS. We won't go out to eat that day.

Well we always celebrate with our moms and feel very blessed they are both still with us and want to celebrate them.

But now that I'm a mom too, I would also like it to be a special day for me too, KWIM?

That said, DH works on Sundays so I'm sure I'll head out to my mom's to celebrate her day. After that, head to my MIL's. Nothing special for me specifically.

My MIL lives out of state.

We are probably going to go to dinner with my parents.

Since I refuse to go over ILs due to my SIL drama and her crazy a$$, we will either host Mother's Day at my house or just go out to eat. Neither of which SIL will be a part of. Not sure what we are doing though. I predict me and DH will get into a fight over us not going to see his mother for mother's day. But he fails to forget that it is MY day with MY kids. Ugh... I'm so not looking forward to holidays this year and all the battles.

Probably spend it with my inlaws for "brunch" and then my family.
My Bday is May 10th, so, we may throw that in there too.

DH works from 6-2 on Sundays. So I'm prob gonna take my kids to the cemetary to "see" my mom, then maybe stop by my grandmas. If I have time, late breakfast or early lunch with kids at Friendly's. We usually go to in-laws for dinner, so once DH gets home from work, thats what we'll do.

We are going to Sesame Place on Saturday and staying overnight.

I will be having breakfast with my kids and Elmo on Sunday...

I will actually be doing a small run in central park in the morning then I plan on having a picnic in the park with my mom DH DD and my sister and her family. Its also my nephews birthday so we'll celebrate that. We usually split the day up between our families but Im glad I get to do what I want this year

DH will be working so I will go to MIL's in the morning and then my mom's in the afternoon.

I will request a "make up" Mother's Day and have DH take me out to eat during the week with DD.
