I know it's early but...
Have any of you been thinking about booking a place for the christening party before the baby is born? I ask because my DH is a resident and he only gets off 4 weeks out of the year that are definite weeks off and he chooses them the year before. So he has off the last week in May and we would have to have the Christening then. The date would be May 31st. Now I am realizing that May and June are wedding, graduation and communion months so I don't really want to wait until the end of Feb for the baby to be born to start looking, plus I probably won't have time or energy to leave the house. I also don't want to "jinx" anything before the baby is born (i'm a little superstitious like that). What are you doing and What should I do? I also live in an apt complex so I can't have any backyard parties...

Re: I know it's early but...
we've already talked about this. We're going to rent out the room in our condo clubhouse and get catered food. Baby is due in Jan, we're planning for late March/April (before Communion season) depending on the church of course. We won't plan until baby is here (except for contacting the church).

Re: I know it's early but...
You should call your church and ask how long before the christening do you need to call... some churches will let you book right away some wont and they might not do Christenings on certain sundays... like my church would only do it at the 1st sunday and the third sunday.. so you should call to see what there policy is...
