I know someone can help me... Red Eared Sliders
Help! I am watching my school's population of red-eared sliders this summer. I let them spend their days and nights in a baby pool on my deck. It is covered and has a filter. I feed them every day. It has half shade/half sun. The problem or I hope it is not a problem, but they are changing from dark to light almost like they are shedding. Is this normal???

I am not sure what you mean about them changing from dark to light.
The only thing I would suggest is to make sure they have a place to dock themselves out of the water.
Turtles like to "suntan" as I call it. They don't like to spend their entire day in water.
I have one of these turtles and she spends more time out of the water and on her little turtle dock than she does inside the water. They call this basking.
They need to bask daily in order to get the proper vitamins their shell needs from the sun.

I have 2 red ear sliders and they have to have a place to get out of the water. The dark to light part Im not really understanding either but their skin (head and legs) does kind of peel I guess in a sense if that is what you are saying
