I know this is far in advance... travelling alone with baby....

I visit my granmda every winter in florida. Alwasy have, always will - I usually go in March, but since I'm due in April, I'll probably go in January...

But, after the baby is born, I still would like to visit grandma with the baby... I'm figuring if I go in February or March, the baby will be 10 or 11 months old.

DH wont be able to go with me because he doesnt get enough vacation time...

so, I'd have to travel with a weeks worth of my stuff, baby's stuff - including diapers, and formula??? Do they still drink formula at that age?

Also, I'd have to bring a car seat, and a stroller....do i also need to have some kind of crib/pack and play type of thing?

Am I insane even thinking about doing this on my own????

not at all.
you can do it. Why dont you go before that so you can bring the baby in the infant carrier (theyre in this till about 4-5 months old.) then you can bring the base of the seat as a carry on, and snap it right into the car.
Travel with the minimum, you can get all the baby stuff you need when you get there.

oh also, you can bring a snap and go if the baby is still in the carrier, which is a LOT lighter than lugging a big stroller. Either way, you can gate check it,which makes it easy.
diapers, formula, even some clothes, you can get while you are there,,,

When I went w/my son, i did this, bought some disposable clothes so cheap while i was there,,,and even bought a pack n play at a walmart there for like $30.

I cant go until after january - thats when I get my vacation hours again, and Grandma is a snowbird, so she doesnt leave for Florida til around november.... so its going to definitely be February at the earliest....
