I know this sounds crazy but am I infertile?
I know this sounds silly but I can't figure out if I am infertile. From what I read it seems that couples that can't conceive are def infertile and need IVF or IUF. What about those that can conceive BUT have m/c 5+w after conceiving? I'm looking all over and can't seem to find where I fit in.
Anyone want to clarify this? Thanks!

I'd say maybe if you have recurrent miscarriages or some problem that you know is causing you to miscarry, then maybe that could be considered a type on infertility. However, having one or two miscarriages does not mean that you are infertile.

I don't think you are infertile.
When I hear the term, I think of someone who is unable to conceive a child.
You were able to do that, and I am so sorry about your loss - but I do believe you will get pregnant again!

You aren't infertile, cause you can conceive and have.
You may have other issues, that you seem to have miscarriages, did you OB have you tested to see why this keeps happening?

The fact that you are able to conceive means you are not infertile but you may have something going on that is causing you to miscarry at a certain point.
My BFF just recently had a miscarriage and they ran tests after her D&C to see if there was a chromosomal abnormality which caused her baby to miscarry OR if there was something inherently wrong with her. Luckily they found an abnormality with the embryo which is good news because it means the pregnancy wasn't viable and had nothing to do with her physical ability to carry a child.
I would speak to the doctor and see what he thinks.

Repeat miscarriage is a type of infertility that should be investigated. I would start with your OB to find out if there is something going on or just bad luck.

a friend of mine had 3 m/c, and when the doctor finally ran all of his tests he said that her progesterone levels were low. I've also read that on other websites, if you don't produce enough progesterone throughout your pregnancy it is highly likely that you will m/c. You can supplement with natural prog. cream as soon as you know you're PG
