I Let Her Do It.......

For the first time ever, I let my 13 year old go to the mall with her friends. Although I stayed in the mall with my little one, for 2 1/2 hours I didn't run into her once (think she was avoiding me ).

It just made me a little sad to see all the moms with strollers, because I honestly feel like it was yesterday. Although I really am enjoying having an 8 and 13 year old, sometimes I miss the good old days. Anybody else feel this way??

Oh well, I guess I better get ready for many more firsts.

Wait untill they go to the movies alone :( that was a hard one.. This year I got teary eyed when I dropped my son off at his first day of high school.. good luck.. ((hugs))

I miss the stroller days bc it is a PITA to carry my own bags when shopping. Otherwise I don't. Maybe a little sometimes when I'm sentimental but I'm enjoying the next phase in our family too, having children who are growing up and evolving. Stuff like giving them freedom still scares me silly bc I'm not there but I love hearing how other parents are handling it like this post. I'm glad you had a good experience with your DD's mall freedom.

I enjoy not having to push a stroller, remember a diaper bag, diapers, wipes, bottles, toys, food...etc.

I am enjoying that my children are able to do a lot of things on their own and YES, I am terrified of when they are ready to drive (12 & 7).
