i literally cant stop laughing!!
 so ive had a really horrible morning with my contractions and just feeling down.. anyway im a total registry stalker.. and well someone bought this and its now on my registry..   may i ask what i need this for? im pretty sure i wont be needing this for a good year!
there were so many other things for the same price if not cheaper that i NEED! people make me laugh!

they may've bought it for themselves and if they used your registry at the same time (buying for themselves AND you) - it gets added!

the first time stuff got 'added' to mine - i was like ***??? i didn't have anything that 'zany' like a princess toilet seat cover WITH HANDLES...

I think a little girl would go NUTS seeing Disney princesses on the potty!!!!

The handles are so the child does not fall off. I just got DS an elmo one that looks like the one on your registry.

... in 2 years, give or take, when DD tells you "Potty!", you'll be very thankful that you have it already....  
Nearly all of those types of seats have handles. One, is so DC has something to hold onto, and the other is so that the adult can pick it up easier to put on and off.
OK, it's not for a newborn, but you will definitely be using it at some point.
